Project Engineer
Dredge Yard From locations in the Netherlands (Rotterdam) and the United Arab Emirates, Dredge Yard designs, builds and supplies easy-to-operate dredgers. Dredge Yard focuses on smart designs for optimized dredgers that are efficient and safe for people and the environment. They use the latest technologies in design, simulation and manufacturing to continuously develop optimally functioning dredgers. Their focus is on easy to transport cutter suction dredgers and environmentally friendly auger dredgers that fit in containers.
The job description:
Project Engineer is in charge of Dredge Yard projects, production and delivery of several dredgers and components per year. Dredge Yard projects includes all activities from customer order acceptance to final delivery according to customers’ requirements. Production might be done at Dredge Yard facility in The Netherlands or with partners in Turkey, Romania, UAE or any other location.
Project Engineer main targets are:

Delivery of products according to the accepted customer Local Purchase Order in the highest quality possible.

Delivery of all goods on or before delivery date.

Maximizing the gross profit margin of Dredge Yard.

Increasing the production capacity of Dredge Yard overall.
Responsibilities:

Coordinating with a team of production, engineering and suppliers.

Set up and maintaining of project planning.
-
Set up and maintaining of project cost calculation.
-
Delivery of all products sold and approved by Dredge Yard.

Ensure that all products are produced according to the quality requested.

Ensure that products are packed and delivered as agreed on LPO.
-
Be in charge of all inspections and testing requested.

Deliver all documentations requested by the clients.

Report and give feedback to the general manager for any problems and opportunities.
Requirements:
-
Minimum 5 years of experience in projects or production of machinery, shipbuilding, or related industries.

Minimum 3 years of experience in dredging or dredgers.
-
Proven skills of leading a project team.

Strong communication skills.
-
Technical education degree in mechanical, naval or related industries.

In command of the Dutch and English Language.
